All Requests Live Band honored to be a part of Joe & Kim’s big day

The ARL Band had an opportunity to offer our musicianship, lighting and DJ services to Joe & Kim at their wedding on Saturday night.  With standard northwest rain throughout the morning, things were a little touch-and-go for an inside vs. outside ceremony.  However, God showed up and the skies parted for the couple to share their vows in a beautiful garden ceremony.
Kim had requested a very specific song for their first dance, “The Way You Look Tonight” – a duet by Elton John and Shania Twain.  A song that wasn’t available anywhere else but a mediocre version on YouTube.  So, the ARL band got together and Dave and Jozi stepped in for a nice rendition for their first dance.
What brought further tears to the eyes of the crowd, was when the mothers joined the happy couple on the dance floor for their first dances with their children.  A very touching moment, indeed.
The wedding-goers were no stranger to both writing and texting in their song requests!  Both DJ Matt on the sound board and Dave on stage were both feverishly looking through the very extensive list of requests that were pouring in from the friends and family.  We were able to get a bunch in, but still left a lot we could have played.  Note: Get those requests in early!
Joe certainly helped out with the entertainment, as he both sang a Jim Brickman song to serenade his new bride, and finished the night up nicely with a completely impromptu version of “Sweet Home Alabama!”
Joe and Kim, it was our pleasure to be a part of your happy day!
